E-Surplus is a joint effort of auctioneer firm Shattuck & Associates and PROACE Technology Services.

Shattuck & Associates Auctioneers was founded in 1987 in Austin, Texas following the footsteps of J.C. Harper Auctioneers an auctioneering firm that originated in 1918 in San Antonio, Texas.

In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, Shattuck & Associates Auctioneers conducted numerous hospital liquidations and surplus medical equipment auctions, and became well known in the industry for its expertise in remarketing this class of equipment.

But time and experience have made Shattuck & Associates experts at much more than medical equipment! Today we conduct auctions selling millions of dollars in laboratory and technologic equipment, electronic test and measurement equipment, telecommunications equipment, dietary and food service equipment, office furniture systems, power generation equipment, printing and copying equipment, vehicles, and recyclable materials.

In 2003 Shattuck & Associates Auctioneers established alliances with Frank L. Sughrue, Auctioneer of Austin and Mel Davis Auctions of San Antonio. This relationship brings over 60 years experience in the auctioneering industry to a wider array of clientele in a larger segment of the marketplace.
